A serious collector of TF Simon art, noted the condition as good,, the color is very nice, note the red flag, the lavenders are not faded as with many others and in the original frame pencil signed by T. F. Simon.

With this portrait you receive the doc's business card, a large real photograph taken in Paris 1945 near Arch D Triumph, as noted on back.

African American Freeman Abolitionist

JP Ball (1825-1904), the 19th-century African-American photographer who in his day was regarded as one of the best photographers in America. Ball took photographs not only in his studio but in the streets of the developing West. His subject matter ranged from portraiture (including Frederick Douglass) to street celebrations and lynchings.
